Eagle Air pirates exposed. At one time Eagle Air employed a Chief Pilot and several line pilots. Much could be written about this motley bunch being led into much adventure by a crusty old Boeing skipper with 30 years of flying behind him. Sadly, the Chief has passed on, the pilots have all left, and Eagle Air has moved into engineering to keep itself afloat. At present Eagle Air consists of two directors, John Fitter (me) and my wife Marion. I have a degree in Engineering from the University of Queensland and a Commercial Pilot's License. My engineering experience is varied having worked for many years in hard rock and coal mines, mostly in engineering, sometimes in planning, and for a while as a shift foreman. Other jobs such as instrumentation engineering, surveying, oil drilling etc. led ultimately to a research and consulting position working on the instrumentation of a dragline for data logging purposes. A lifetime of building and flying model aircraft, a good competition track record flying aerobatics, an engineering background and an obsessive personality come together to produce products of the highest quality for the discerning modeler. |

Where does Eagle Air lurk ? Eagle Air offices are located in the small country town of Flaxton situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, 120km north of Brisbane, Australia. At an altitude of 1400ft, overlooking the Pacific ocean and surrounded by tropical rain forest, creative thought comes easily. |

What does Eagle Air do ? Eagle Air is a consulting engineering company
specializing in the design and development of microprocessor based solutions. From initial consultation with a
client, Eagle Air engineers will guide a product from conception through to production. Extensive use is made of
local Brisbane based companies including state of the art pcb fabrication and assembly facilities. In-house expertise,
a wealth of practical engineering experience and a broad base of consultants ensures successful product development
on time and within budget. Eagle Air's other commercial activity is charter aviation. Although taking a back seat to the engineering activities for a few years due to a downturn in general aviation in Australia, the occasional charter is very therapeutic for the staff. |
